Racetape Beta is finally on the horizon, almost 2 years of hard work creating a brand new approach to automotive communities, we are almost done!

Beta testing will begin with special 'beta keys' being given out to those who have signed up on our myspace and facebook pages. All beta users will be given exclusive access to the community features of the site and be able to inject their input and ideas into shaping this site into the No.1 Automotive Social Networking site in Australia, not to mention having access to a little something extra that other users 'post-beta' will be envious of ;)

Beta will begin in March with keys being given out periodically throughout the month. Hurry as beta keys are limited! So get signing up!

As we have mentioned in the last week, the most recent drift practice day saw Moto GP rider Anthony West swap 2 wheels for 4. Given this opportunity, we decided to pair him up with Pro Tour driver Josh Boettcher in the titanic-sized Soarer for some battle action!

 Now for obvious reasons - we aren't fans of hybrids. The Prius, for example, is rather ugly, slow and hardly environmentally friendly. As fossil fuels are burnt to produce electricity, and it has a petrol engine - it actually uses 2 fossil fuel power sources...well done.

But, salvation is near - Germany does Hybrids differently. Electric engine in an M3 - no. GTR engine in an M3 - Hell yes! Enjoy...

 A perfect opportunity to get your eye in for the season to come saw familiar faces and new take to the Parklands course. The new face that grabbed the most attention was that of Anthony West of Moto GP fame in his subtle Green ute. 3 or so sets of tyres later - and we were all impressed,  leaving no questions as to his skill on 2 and 4 wheels alike.

We do not advocate idiots behind the wheel - only that drivers learn to deal with and actually DRIVE, CONTROL and RESPECT a car  (this does not include knowing what a stop sign means or being able to reverse park).
